"There are moments in Jewish text and ritual life that have evoked for me such strong emotion that I can almost visualize what I hope to accomplish on the canvas.  Through painting I to go to a deep, interior place and express complex feelings that I cannot put into words.  The weight of memory, self-awareness, love and loss, all of these issues are explored  in Judaism and in these paintings.  The process has enriched my art and my spiritual  life."
