"I’ve loved to paint for as long as I can remember and have been taking art classes for just about that long.  At times my work has been more figurative, representing strong emotional experiences and reactions.  Through painting I go to a deep, interior place and express complex feelings that I cannot put into words.  Regardless of the impetus for painting, the challenge remains the same:  how to communicate my excitement in developing a painting with its push-pull between the elements, the dynamics of color and form."
