"The memory of those immense chunks of ice never leaves me. It is as if I was the fortunate guest at a most unique sculpture exhibit, glacial masses that were powerful and yet fragile at the same time. I seemed to be immersed in a blue and white world. And, even when recollecting Iguazu Falls later, that same palate imprinted itself in my imagination. As I painted, this series became an in-depth exploration of the color blue and the variety of textures & brush strokes that give nuance to a painting."
